On the Inside … Looking Out

Can’t believe I am wishing you all a Happy 2012 when I seem to have just wished you for the 2011 festive season!! I hope you all had a good break, as according to ‘some’ people the world will end on 21 December 2012, so that ‘could’ have been our last one! Like we had the Y2K scare at the start of the new Millennium, we are now faced with the scare of the Mayan calendar ending on 21 December 2012.

But, have no fear, I can tell you that according to NASA, ‘just as the calendar you have on your wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on 21 December 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then – just as your calendar begins again on January 1 – another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar’. For more amazing theories on this subject visit the NASA website – www.nasa.gov. So, we now have another festive season to look forward to!

There is a lot to keep readers flipping the pages in this issue:- Enjoy!

We are looking to increase the size of the Journal in the near future, so please consider advertising. We are getting increasingly more enquiries from prospective borehole owners – for small household purposes to large production boreholes being tendered by private consultants & government -  for information on boreholes + the BWA membership list which shows who provides services/products in the groundwater industry. So, when working on your budget for this year, put the Borehole Water Journal on the list.
